Connelly Marucci was elected to the Erie County Court of Common \n      Pleas in 2019.\n    <\/p>\n    <p>\n      She previously served for 16 years in the District Attorney&#8217;s Office, \n      including a position as Chief Deputy District Attorney from 2017 to \n      2019. In the District Attorney&#8217;s Office, she conducted more than 150 \n      jury trials, prosecuted 26 homicide cases and acted as lead prosecutor \n      in sexual assault and domestic violence cases.\n    <\/p>\n    <p>\n      Connelly is a member of the Pennsylvania and Erie County Bar \n      Association, and is a Protection From Abuse Coordinated Services Board \n      member. In 2004, she recognized by the Crime Victim Center of Erie \n      County for her role in reducing the impact of crime in the community. \n      She is a volunteer with Books for Kids, the Wills for Heroes Program and \n      the Attorneys and Kids Together Program. She has also served as a high \n      school mock trial coach and adjunct professor at Mercyhurst University.\n    <\/p>\n    <p>\n      Connelly, an Erie County native, earned a Juris Doctorate from the \n      Duquesne University School of Law and a bachelor&#8217;s degree in criminology \n      from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.\n    <\/p>\n    <p>\n      She lives in Fairview Township with her husband and two stepdaughters.\n    <\/p>\n  <\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Judge Erin C.
