Judge Peter J. Sala

Peter J. Sala was elected to the Erie County Court of Common Pleas in 2023.

Judge Peter J. Sala was born, raised and educated in Erie, Pennsylvania. Upon graduation from Gannon University, he attended Cleveland-Marshall College of Law where he served as Managing Editor of the Law Review. In May of 1994, he began his career in Erie County as a Judicial Law Clerk. Judge Sala then opened his own practice in September of 1995 and continued in that capacity until his election in 2023. During that time, Judge Sala represented clients throughout the Commonwealth with positive results. He also successfully argued cases at every appellate level in Pennsylvania. During Judge Sala’s first two years on the bench, he served in the Family/Orphan’s Court Division. Judge Sala is now assigned to the Trial Division for Criminal and Civil matters.
